Newport Industrial Fabrication, Inc., Newport, ME is certified by the American Institute of Steel Construction to have the personnel, organization, experience, capability, and commitment meeting the requirements of the Certification Standard for Steel Building Structures and Simple Steel Bridges with Sophisticated Paint Endorsement as set forth in the AISC Certification Program. The New Standard for Steel Building Quality Program is replacing AISC Certified Fabricator, Category Conventional Building and Complex Building.  Along with the upgrade to the Standard for Steel Building, NIF’s paint facility met the requirements of the Sophisticated Paint Endorsement. The Paint Endorsement meets quality program criteria requirements of SSPC-QP 3, "Standard Procedure for Evaluating the Qualifications of Shop Application Firms.".  AISC is revising its Certification Program for structural steel fabricators.
